Ranking the Movies I’ve Seen in 2025

I haven’t seen too many movies this year (only 9). Circumstances have made it so I couldn’t. I’ve also included one Netflix movie, which I count. It doesn’t have to be in the theater. Believe it or not, I haven’t seen Wicked or Snow White. I read Wicked in 2001 and saw the musical at the Pantages. I refuse to watch Snow White, even on streaming. I am watching Freakier Friday soon, so I’ll give an updated list at the end of the year.

9. Captain America: Brave New World PG-13: I hate to rate this my least favorite movie of the year so far. The graphics/special effects were messy. The storyline a bit boring. The best thing was Liv Tyler reprising her role as Betty Ross from the Edward Norton Incredible Hulk movie. The first Captain America with Chris Evans sucked too, so I hope they can fix the mistakes with the Anthony Mackie Captain America. I love his rapport with Sebastian Stan, so I hope they have more screen time together soon.

    8. Karate Kid: Legends PG-13: Ugh, this didn’t have the same pizzazz as Cobra Kai. The best part of the movie was William Zabka at the end.

    7. Jurassic World: Rebirth PG-13: It was too soon to reboot. You know why Jurassic World did so well, even with Chris Pratt (my least favorite Chris)? Because it had been many many years since we had last seen a Jurassic Park movie.

    6. Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning PG-13: This scores lower because I’m not a fan of Tom, Scientology, or his movies. The action was nonstop though, that’s why it’s rated higher than Jurassic World.

    5. Superman PG-13: Even though Henry Cavill has been problematic in the past, (he’s a dad now, right?) what they did to him was dirty and embarrassing. I enjoyed this movie, but wasn’t a super huge fan. The fight scenes were just ok. My favorite character was the dog. This is my 3rd favorite superman, Tom Welling is #1 Henry Cavill is #2. This is the BEST Lex Luthor, even above Gene Hackman and Michael Rosenbaum. There’s no room for arguments. This is my second favorite Lois Lane. Erica Durance is #1. I’m from the age of Smallville, everything is rated against that, BUT I did love The Marvelous Mrs. Masiel.

    4. Thunderbolts PG-13: This one was really good. I love Sebastian Stan and David Harbour (I can’t wait for Stranger Things!!). Wyatt Russell was good and so was Florence Pugh. I want to see a movie with Yelena and Kate Bishop!! They’d make a great team.

    3. Lilo & Stitch PG: I didn’t mind the changes. People whine over so many insignificant things. I think the changes were appropriate. Nani shouldn’t have to give up on her dreams. I felt the Nani in the cartoon was older than the Nani in the live action. The only strange thing was, why did she go all the way to San Diego to study Marine Biology when she lived on an island? I live about two hours from San Diego and I would LOVE to study Marine Biology in Hawaii!

    2. The Life List PG-13: I really enjoyed this a lot. I think Sofia Carson is a good actress. I had no idea who she was until I saw Purple Hearts. I loved that movie and I absolutely love Nicholas Galitzine, who just so happen, isn’t in this movie, but I can’t wait for He-Man!.

    1. Fantastic Four: First Step PG-13: This is the only choice for this movie. I really enjoyed it! Pedro Pascal is amazing in everything, even Wonder Woman 1984. I love Eddie Munson and The Bear! Also, rest in peace Julian McMahon. Our OG Dr. Doom. We lost you way too soon. Cancer SUCKS!

It’s been a while since I did one of these. I like them, they’re fun!
